Photographs collected by Fred L. Peterson, mayor of Portland, Or. from 1953-1957. All of the photographs were taken in Portland and depict Peterson as a young man in the Lents neighborhood circa 1911-1912; a presidential campaign parade in 1912; a pharmacy on Glisan Street circa 1929; and Dwight D. Eishenhower's visit to Portland in 1955. There is also one panoramic photograph depciting members of the American Legion Auxiliary in Portland in 1945. Some photographs were taken by the City of Portland; all other photographers are unidentified.
